Countrywide Summit uses a Victory Innovations Professional Cordless Electrostatic Sprayer, which gives liquid droplets an electrical charge as they leave the equipment. This can help the product deposit across exposed, compatible surfaces when the sprayer, disinfectant and application conditions are appropriate.
The cordless design allows the technician to move through agreed treatment areas without dragging a power cord through the facility. However, the equipment itself does not determine which disinfectant can be used or whether a surface has been properly disinfected.
The outcome also depends on:

How an Electrostatic Disinfection Service Is Planned
1. Define the Purpose and Work Area
We begin by identifying why the service is being requested, which rooms or areas are involved and which exposed surfaces are intended for treatment.
The scope should distinguish between areas receiving routine cleaning and those being considered for specialized disinfection.
2. Assess the Facility, Surfaces and Equipment Conditions
We review surface materials, furnishings, electronics, food-contact areas, ventilation, occupancy, access and other conditions that may affect product selection or application.
Sensitive, incompatible, enclosed or inaccessible surfaces may need to be excluded or treated using another approved method. Manufacturer precautions for the electrostatic equipment must also be considered, particularly around sensitive electronic or medical devices.
3. Select the Product and Preparation Requirements
The proposed disinfectant must be authorized for sale in Canada and suitable for the intended commercial environment and surfaces.
We review the product label for application directions, dilution where applicable, pre-cleaning, protective equipment, wet-contact time, ventilation, food-contact requirements, storage and re-entry instructions.
4. Complete the Agreed Service
The facility is prepared according to the agreed scope. Cleaning is completed first where required, and the disinfectant is applied to the specified accessible surfaces according to its directions.
Occupants return only after applicable contact-time, drying, ventilation and re-entry requirements have been satisfied.
Why Cleaning and Disinfection Are Different
Cleaning physically removes dust, soil, spills and organic material from surfaces. Disinfection applies an appropriate product to reduce or inactivate microorganisms according to that product’s authorized claims and directions.
A visibly dirty surface should not simply be sprayed and assumed to be disinfected. Soil may first need to be removed so the disinfectant can contact the surface properly. Some products have specific one-step directions, but those directions must still be followed exactly.
Electrostatic disinfection therefore does not replace routine commercial cleaning. Restrooms, floors, waste containers, entrances, work areas and high-touch surfaces still require an appropriate continuing cleaning program.
Important Limitations of Electrostatic Disinfection
Electrostatic application should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every surface, microorganism or area has been treated.
